Project Architect

KKT Architects, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Architect within our Architecture Department. We are looking for a creative, empathetic and passionate Architect with 10+ years of experience to fill a key design and project lead role. This position could be based out of our Tulsa or Oklahoma City office, or fully 100% remote for the right candidate.

The work includes

  • Contribute to all phases of project design including programming, space planning, and schematic through construction administrative phases.
  • Accomplish project objectives through communication, management, mentoring, and procuring project requirements.
  • Collaborate, organize, communicate, and participate in progress meetings with the client, design team, and consultants.
  • Manage stakeholders, risk, project delivery, scope changes, and conflicts.
  • Understand the impact of each project and make clear the expectations for quality of deliverables.
  • Verify quality control review, participate in oversight of design, deliverables, and construction administration.
  • Define and communicate project team’s scope of work.
  • Review and monitor invoices, pay applications, contracts, and/or proposals.
  • Promote project and project team within the office and externally.
  • Maintain and support client management.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Licensed Architect or seeking licensure
  • Experience in architectural design, coordination, documentation and construction
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts and best practices, and understanding of architectural building systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of building and zoning codes, accessibility standards, code review process and permitting
  • Motivational self-starter
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to delegate, manage, and inspire others; confidence, honesty, commitment, and ability to see big picture
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative team environment
  • Passion for creating spaces that inspire and elevate people as they heal, learn, live, and grow
